Troop 49 meets on Wednesday nights between 7pm - 8pm and is comprised of approximately 16 scouts ranging from 6th grade through high school. The troop camps out every month during the year. We also go to summer camp at Camp Sequassen in New Hartford for a week.  We are also involved with local scouting events such as Camproees and Klondike. This event usually has approximately 400 - 500 scouts from the surrounding area participating.

We are also involved with various volunteer efforts such as the Cannondale Build Event sponsored by Danbury Youth Services. This provides low income families with bikes  during the holiday season.

Parish Nurse Corner

May is National Blood Pressure Month. High blood pressure affects one in three Americans β€” and it’s the third leading cause of death in the U.S. This May, celebrate National Blood Pressure Month by raising your awareness with the power of information. Then, use that knowledge to fight unseen, potential risks.

Guidelines for blood pressure have changed in recent years. Around 120 over 80 is now considered the range for normal blood pressure. Anything higher than that means you should try to lower it through some simple lifestyle changes like diet and exercise.

Know your numbers and have them checked regularly. β€œFor wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy.” Proverbs 2:10.

Our Parish Nurses offer regular monitoring. Utilize them. If your numbers start inching up, visit your doctor.
