The Pastoral Care Ministry is a parish effort to reach out to parishioners in need, for example, visits to nursing homes, or the home bound by the Extraordinary Ministers of Mercy. It also encompasses the many efforts of the Outreach Committee such as Dorothy Day and Town Food Bank support. All of these activities are addressed by the generous commitment of time and donations of goods from the parish family.

At times in the life of a parish circumstances coincide to challenge a particular family’s ability to meet the task of providing subsistent care. It is the Pastor’s privilege and duty to reach out on behalf of the parish family to assist those particular families who find themselves in significant need through the Family Assistance Program

The function of assisting families identified by the Family Assistance Program is just one more aspect of overall pastoral care.  The effort to provide resources that enable the Pastor to meet the needs of the Family Assistance Programis often just referred to as "Pastoral Care."

“Commit yourself to instruction listen carefully to words of knowledge.” -Proverbs 23:12

If your loved ones say you can’t hear, ask yourself these questions. Do I: have trouble hearing on the phone? Have trouble following conversations with more than two people? Turn up the TV volume but have others complain of the noise? Complain that people mumble: Find it hard to hear women, children, or anything when there is background noise? If you have answered yes to any of these, it is time to visit your doctor. He/ she will either treat you or refer you to an audiologist for testing, diagnosis, and treatment. Do not miss out on any more conversations – see your doctor today.
